Albert Linton was one of 10 children who grew up on the Los Coyotes Reservation in Warner Springs and was a member of the Ipay Nation of Santa Ysabel. He shared a 2-bedroom house with no hot water or inside plumbing with his parents and siblings. Their home was filled with love, laughter and hard work. Albert’s humble beginnings set the foundation for him and his siblings to excel in life. Albert, known as Al to his family and friends, had a dream to create a non-profit organization aimed at offering scholarships to Native American students pursuing higher education. Al passed before seeing this dream come to fruition, however his family has banded together to create this foundation in his memory and see his dream come true.
